Food, Security, Livelihoods.
We are building resilient communities through our livelihood programmes.
Food security and livelihoods are at risk in fragile settings around the world as climate and conflict reach new heights. We work in specifically vulnerable regions, not only to address hunger, but to ensure long-term self-sustainability through our food security and livelihood programmes.
Pakistan & Bangladesh
Pakistan: After severe flooding, our Food Distribution project targets vulnerable families, providing urgent assistance focused on women, children, and the elderly.
Bangladesh: Lack of livelihood options increases dependency on aid. Our locally sourced food parcels sustain families and prevent child labor or trafficking for food.
Afghanistan, West Bank, & Gaza
Afghanistan: Teams ensure food aid reaches the most vulnerable, providing food parcels, hot meals, and meat to thousands of individuals.
West Bank: Rehabilitating neglected olive tree farms supports livelihoods, prevents soil erosion, and restores degraded landscapes in Palestine.
Gaza: Nearly 18,000 people benefited from food vouchers and parcels, nutritionally balanced and complemented with guidance on healthy eating.
Syria & Lebanon
Syria: Addressing food insecurity, our aid in Syria includes vouchers for food and Non-Food Items, aiding thousands in need.
Lebanon: Seasonal food aid reaches around 17,000 people with locally sourced parcels, ensuring essentials like rice, oil, lentils, and more.
Yemen & Iraq
Yemen: Amid conflict, our support encompasses food aid, public services, and livelihood restoration projects to assist families and revive small businesses.
Iraq: With collapsed systems leading to increased food insecurity, our aid includes providing meat for Eid celebrations and nutritious meals to 1,700 people.
Building resilient communities through our livelihood programmes means that when danger inevitably creeps near again, the families we support are better prepared to weather the storm and come out of the other side stronger.
