Global Emergencies
Our teams are perfectly situated in times of crisis to respond to humanitarian needs in an emergency.
In 2022, we responded to emergencies in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Gaza, Pakistan, Yemen, and Syria. In 2023, this effort has expanded, with rapidly deployed responses in many of those same places, as well as Libya, Turkiye, Morocco, and Gaza.
Morocco
Together, we travelled 6,775km, on mountain paths and back roads to deliver assistance for nearly 20,000 people who were impacted by the earthquake in Morocco in September 2023.
Turkiye
AFH supported 89,750 households, equivalent to 503,660 individuals, including our own team based in Gaziantep who were directly impacted by the damage.
Gaza
Since the start of the Gaza crisis, we’ve supported tens of thousands of individuals with food, water, and medicine, and provided over 2,000 mothers with baby formula.
Our photovoltaic water wells in the region were providing 15,000 people with water every day prior to the start of October.
Working to apply lessons developed in over a decade of experience in Syria, our response to global emergencies is always lead by local voices and applied where the need is felt most.
